Checking In.

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday, so I have embarked on my Lenten depravations...no shopping and no sweets. Hopefully, I will be both wealthier and thinner by the time Easter rolls around. Unfortunately, I may also be crankier. :-\

I have started thinking about my Easter ensemble. If I lose 5-10 pounds during Lent, I will be wearing a pale taupe tweed suit with black and turquoise accents and a turquoise hat. If I lose 10-15 pounds during Lent, I will be wearing a zippered red suit with a red/black/white hat.

BTW, are we going to do another virtual Easter Parade this year?

Disappointment

It turns out that three of the bangle bracelets that I bought recently are too small. I have to have an opening width of 2 1/2 to 2 5/8 to be able to fit a bracelet over my hand. I think I'll bring them to work and see if anyone with smaller hands would like to have them.

Today, I'm wearing a wide white bangle, a vintage pale green bangle, a vintage black moonglow lucite bangle, and an apple green turquoise bead bracelet. The pale green and black bangles belonged to my mother.

Stop me, before I shop again.

More Bangle Mania:

I want to buy these, but I'm waiting.

And thus, I give in to my craving.

I just bought a lot of 41 bangles on Ebay. Good grief.

Bangle Envy

Ever since I saw these pics on Project Rungay, I've been craving bangles.

Alberta Ferretti

Emilio Pucci

Phillip Lim

Anna Sui

I have a number of bangles that I've collected over the years, but only a very few of them are big and chunky like these. Back in the '80's, I had some amazing wood bangles that would have been perfect for this season, but I can't remember what I did with them.
