Sunday Outfit, 5/6/18

I'm going to try to keep up with my Sunday outfits, so I don't repeat them too often. This Sunday, I wore:

Black/white swing coat with puffed 3/4 sleeves and a shirred collar
Narrow black pants
Black trainers (I was ushering)
Black asymmetrical sinamay hat that I bought in Seattle
John Atencio sterling and gold bracelets
Sterling, gold, and pearl rings (Atencio and Barrack)

Personal Fashion Post

I was styling last night at the church concert with the Violins of Hope. I have a fringed, B/W sweater tunic that, if you lay it flat, looks like a rectangular poncho, but it's stitched and cut under the arms to give it shape. So I wore that, slim black pants, a brimmed vintage straw hat shaped like the one Audrey Hepburn wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", a vintage black and silver-tone pendant, and an armful of silver bangles. A woman I had never seen before saw me in the church parking lot and said, "I love your outfit! You look beautiful!" Such is the power of a well-deployed hat. ~(:-)

Ghost Forest

These are photos that I took while on vacation in Shenandoah National Park last week. It was foggy the first and third days I was there, and I was fascinated by the imagery of the trees in the mist.

Beautiful Old Doors

Some pictures of beautiful old doors that I have collected recently.
It's been over 6 years, but I'm back! Huzzah! I need a blog that I can post about stuff that I don't want to include on Facebook, and since I already have this one, time to reactivate it.

Hats!

Photobucket

All of the hats in this photo are from my collection. I donated them to the wardrobe mistress of the production of "Crowns" that will be performed at my church in January. I'm even going to get a mention in the program. :-)
