Costume Jewelry

Nejyerf expressed some curiosity about my jewelry box (it's actually an upright chest), so here are a few photos (not very good quality, unfortunately) of some of my collection of brooches:

Fabulous. What's better than getting jewelry that had an entire life with someone else before it came to you?

I remember enameled flower broaches. My mother had a lot of them! I remember buying one for her as a gift when I was about 12. Think it was all of $7.00 which seemed like an awful lot back then!

All these broaches are taking me on a nostalgic trip down memory lane...especially the enameled ones. I'm sure I had one or two of those....I'm beginning to regret a tiny bit that I am one of those people who ruthlessly get rid of things....!

Everything old is new again. And I like buying vintage, because it's a form of "green" shopping. :-)
